Golden High School is located in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado. GHS, founded in 1873, is the oldest school in Colorado with over 125 years of history.

Graduation Information

147th Commencement will be on August 7, 9:00 a.m., at North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada. District will provide live streaming service. Graduates may walk if they have filled out the Graduation Survey.

There will be no Graduation Rehearsal. There will be a Mandatory GHS Drive Through for graduates to pick up their grad packets.

Thursday, August 6th, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Students will do a drive through at GHS to pick up their 2 tickets, GHS mask for Graduate, 3 copies of the commencement program (programs will not be available at graduation), waivers, COVID protocols, instructions, and seating chart for graduation. If you do not come to pick up your Grad Packet, you will not be able to walk or participate in Graduation. Enter into the Bus Loop for the Drive Through.

No Honors/AP Summer Homework

There is no summer homework for Honors/AP courses and no required summer reading for 10th Grade English classes. Enjoy your summer break!

New Student Enrollment/Registration New student enrollment and registration will begin July 27. Email the registrar to set up an appointment for enrollment and registration for 2020-21 school year.

Updated Graduation Requirements starting in 2020-21 School Year

Jeffco students graduating in and after 2021 must meet or exceed the new graduation requirements:

  • accumulate a minimum of 23 credits in required courses AND
  • demonstrate their knowledge in English and math to show they are ready to pursue a career after high school. Visit the Jeffco Public School website for detailed information on demonstration of knowledge requirements.
