Clubs & Activities
Golden High School offers a variety of extracurricular clubs and activities and encourages all students to find something that interests them.
Artists in Action
This student-run club is open to everybody and shares its passion for art and its creative skills with the Golden community. Artist in Action helps with homecoming, Trick or Treat Street, school art projects, Wish Week and more.
Choir
GHS provides a varied musical education experience for singers of all levels.
Diagnostics Community
Students can feel like they’re all alone in a sea of medical diagnoses. Maybe they just want to talk with others who are going through similar challenges. Students interested in the medical field should check out the Diagnostics Community.
Drum Line
Drumline is a section of percussion instruments usually played as part of a musical marching ensemble. This includes the high school marching band, drill and drum corps, drum and bugle corps and indoor percussion ensembles.
Engineering Club
The Engineering Club competes in several regional and state competitions, including the Technology Student Association state competition and the National Robotics League Battle Bots, both in the spring.
Environment Club
The Environmental Club is a valuable club working toward making GHS and the wider Golden community a more sustainable and environmentally friendly place.
Family, Career & Community Leaders of America
Involvement in FCCLA offers students the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop life skills like planning, goal setting, problem-solving, decision making and interpersonal communication, all of which are necessary at home and in the workplace.
Fashion Club
The Fashion Club fosters creativity and inspiration through collaborating on design. Students sketch designs while pulling inspiration from other designers in the room, and then can create their designs with FACS program sewing machines and fabric they have purchased themselves.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Golden High School works with athletes and coaches to “use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the word of Jesus Christ.” FCA’s vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
Filming Club
Filming Club creates opportunities for high school filmmakers to meet, recruit crew for projects, get feedback on ideas and learn more about certain jobs and aspects of filmmaking. Students can sign up to participate in other member’s extracurricular projects.
Gay Straight Alliance
The Gay Straight Alliance brings together LGBTQ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize and create a platform for students working to make school safe and equitable for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Global Girls Outreach
Global Girls Outreach works to raise money to support the education of girls around the world.

This clubs mission is to get the community back interested in reading.
Interact Club
This service club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Golden and supports GHS and the community. Students participate in homecoming, fundraising and community building. All are welcome.
Key Club
This service club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Golden. The club supports the school and the surrounding community. Any student is welcome.
Latinx Student Alliance
The purpose is to input student voices in our school, promote unity, and promote and enrich cultures.
Link Club
Link Club members are responsible for the GHS freshman orientation program and act as mentors to the freshmen class. Link Crew is chosen through an application process in the spring and is a class during the school year. Link is fun but is also a commitment. All are encouraged to apply.
Mountain Biking Team
Students can participate in an organized mountain biking league. The club focuses on safety, skills, conditioning, bike maintenance, sports etiquette, community service and league competition.
National Honor Society
National Honor Society recognizes students with outstanding academics, leadership, character and service to the school and community. Students are inducted into NHS based on the prior year’s merits and must maintain grades and complete community service hours for membership
Newspaper
The Trident Newspaper is a GHS, Student run newspaper.
Pre-Med Club
The GHS Pre-Med Club exposes students to areas of the medical field through shadowing medical workers and creating bonds with nearby hospitals and clinics such as St. Anthony’s.
Real World of Law Enforcement
Review real-life scenarios to explore the positive and negative sides of law enforcement and the “gray areas” of the Fourth Amendment (search and seizure). Members will then partake in respectful, constructive conversation to debate each side.
Rock Climbing Club
The main purpose of our club is to meet other climbers from Golden and to provide a cohesive community for climbers to meet up, grow, and climb together.
SAT/ACT Club
For students to use as a tutoring resource or who would benefit from extra, guided studying. Meets in Ms. Garvins' room (110), every Tuesday during lunch.
Short Story Club
Creating a safe place for creative writers school-wide. Students will have the opportunity to use any writing style of their choosing to express themselves among a community of students with similar interests.
Meetings: 2nd Tuesday each month in Mr. Evans room 124 during lunch.
Sources of Strength
Sources of Strength (SOS) is a group of diverse students and adults from many different corners and cultures of the school and community. SOS believes that life has ups and downs and that all of us will go through good times and tough times.
Tabletop Games
Everyone is welcome to join us at lunch on Thursdays. Tabletop Games is a space for students to play any tabletop game of their choice, from D&D and Pathfinder to Magic: the Gathering. The club is open to anyone willing to be a nerd with us!
Theatre
Golden High School’s extracurricular theatre program, Stage Right Productions, provides students a creative outlet through the performing arts, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Yearbook
The GHS yearbook staff works year-round to create a publication that gives their fellow students memories to last a lifetime. Also, get ordering information.
