Concurrent Enrollment

Students have the option to enroll in college-level classes offered at Golden High School. Concurrent enrollment allows students to enroll and earn college credits while still in high school. Concurrent enrollment benefits students by lowering the cost of college, increasing the flexibility of academic options, increasing the ease of access to college coursework, and preparing student for a seamless transfer int college. 
  • Concurrent Enrollment (college credit through Red Rocks Community College) offered in: Photography, Digital Photography, Astronomy I and II, and Spanish IV.
  • Concurrent Enrollment (college credit through CU Denver) offered in AP Statistics and College Algebra.
  • Concurrent Enrollment (college credit through MSU Denver) offered in Prostart Culinary and Prostart II.


To be considered for Concurrent Enrollment, students must:

  • Complete an application for the community college. Teachers will have these applications. Turn in signed Agreement form.
  • Apply for and authorize the College Opportunity Fund stipend.
  • Complete the NextGen ACCUPLACER test, if required for course.
  • Have a current ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan) including the concurrent enrollment course work.
  •  Students must maintain a C average.
  • Concurrent Enrollment courses are offered through the community college within the student's home high school service area.


Jeffco will pay tuition for concurrent enrollment courses if the qualified students meets and completes all requirements listed above. Students and families are responsible for all campus fees and books. No transportation will be provided by Jeffco.
