About
Golden High School (GHS) is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains minutes from downtown Denver or the mountains. GHS has a rich history and tradition dating back to 1873.
GHS has worked hard to partner with the Golden community, our alumni association, local businesses and institutions of higher education to provide support and positive experiences for students.
Golden has received a “Performance” rating from the Colorado Department of Education and has been expanding AP course offerings every year, while at the same time keeping the comprehensive high school programs the community values. We offer courses in STEM, business, culinary arts, performing and visual arts and experiential education.
GHS has great athletic and activities programs for all levels of student interest. Two very special opportunities for graduates are the ability to earn the STEM Endorsed Diploma or the Seal of Biliteracy. These are two new programs and GHS will have graduates in both programs.
